Struck Down But Not Destroyed

Struck Down But Not Destroyed

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Paul is stating the facts from his personal walk with the Lord. He experienced being "wounded in action." He was walking with the Lord faithfully but would constantly find himself under attack. There was always somebody physically attacking him and spiritually attacking him yet God gave him the strength to continue on in the work.

Christians of today understand how it feels to be wounded in action. We are on the battlefield for the Lord, working in the church, working in a Ministry, praying, fasting, turning the other cheek and somebody will come up and wound us right in the midst of us fighting the "good fight."

Sometimes it's enemy fire that has wounded us but often it is friendly fire from our own camp. Be encouraged however, battle fighting is a part of any war and make no mistakes about it women of God, we are in a battle, but this battle is not fought with earthly weapons it is fought in the spiritual realm on our knees, in our word and with our actions.

God bless you and remember to go as far as God is willing to take you.
