Persecuted But Not Abandoned

Persecuted But Not Abandoned

2 Corinthians 4:8-10 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

When Paul says that we are persecuted but not abandoned he is saying that he can feel his enemies on his back. They have something to say about this and something to say about that. Even though he could feel their presence on his back he could feel God’s presence and love more so than their evil and persecution. The lesson for us today is to accept the presence of God covering us, protecting us and not abandoning us, more so than accepting our enemies pursuing us and persecuting us. Obviously, I’m not saying to ignore the presence of your enemies, for that would be foolish, however I am saying accept the love of God that cover’s us and doesn’t abandon us even when we are being pursued and persecuted by our enemies. Paul says when I would do good… evil is ever present and I say to you evil will always be present on this side of heaven but God’s love is more present and more powerful than any evil, persecution that anybody to include the devil can bring.

God Bless you and remember to go as far as God is willing to take you!
