Patience
Galatians
5:22-But the Fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness,
goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things
there is no law.
To be
qualified as a patient child of God one must be slow to speak and slow to
anger. We tend to be quick to speak and quick to anger. Most
Christians fall into this category at some point in their walk. When you
are patient you are not so quick to complain or avenge wrongs.
This is
extremely tough to do especially if you have been holding your tongue a long
time and nothing is getting better. Proverbs tells us that “a patient man
has great understanding, but a quick tempered man displays folly.” Isn't that a
true statement? When we blow our cool, we never feel better in fact we feel
worse and have to go repent for what we just said or did. When we learn to be
slow to anger even when it is difficult… we are proud of ourselves and we spend
time glorifying God in our prayer time instead of repenting over something that
probably wasn't that big of a deal to begin with. DIVAS, Maya Angelo
said, “When you know better you do better.” Let’s be honest, nothing I've
written today you did not know, yet we don't do it . God
expects more from us and now it’s time to expect more from ourselves, lets do
better!
God Bless
you and remember to go as far as God is willing to take you!
