Faithfulness
Galatians 5:22-But the Fruit of the Spirit is love,
joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and
self-control. Against such things there
is no law.
Faithfulness is a firm devotion to God, loyalty to
friends, and dependability to carry out responsibilities that have been
entrusted to us. The book of Revelation
declares, “Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the
crown of life.” It is our responsibility to be faithful over everything that
God has given us. We must be faithful
over our families, jobs, companies, Spiritual Development and faithful over our
faith. What does that mean, faithful
over our faith? It means to be certain that God is working and acting on our
behalf. So when we are faithful over our faith, we speak life, hope, love,
goodness, long suffering to ourselves knowing that we are the beneficiaries of
God’s grace. I’ve heard it said that when we are faithful… God is faithful but
I believe God is always faithful and we must learn to be faithful. Not faithful
when we want to be, or when we feel like it, but faithful always and in all
things. If there’s a spiritual area in your life that perhaps you have allowed
to slip into an area of unfaithfulness, what better day is it than today to
regroup and move back toward faithfulness….the choice is yours…be faithful!
God Bless you and remember to go as far as God is
willing to take you.
