Standing
1 Corinthians 16;13 Be on your
guard; stand firm in the faith; be men of courage; be strong.
All week our devotions have come from the book of 2 Corinthians
but I want to pull a scripture out of 1 Corinthians that seems to sum up our
week. The scripture simply tells us to stand firm in the faith. We live in a
world where we find people standing but standing for all the wrong things. From
the world's standpoint you can almost understand how they can stand for the
wrong things. However as for the people of God we should have no issues with
this because we have the word to direct our footings, yet standing for all the
wrong things is a dominate force even in the church. Paul is telling us, do not
let the enemy have an inch of territory on this battleground, don't let him in
at all. To accomplish this the woman of God must follow these simple
instructions BE ON YOUR GUARD, STAND FIRM, BE COURAGEOUS and BE STRONG. When we
follow these steps the enemy doesn't get any ground into our camp. When we
don't, he steps into our camp and before you know it he has taken complete
control. We are in a battle, but the key to victory has already been
established if we would simply listen for the orders, obey the orders and fight
until the battle is won. Be encouraged DIVAS to be devoted to God, his will and
his ways.
